I remember last year they had one... But I can't seem to find the ad... or maybe they don't have one? I was thinking one of my cousins stole ours from our newspaper....

Paper in LA has 4 pages of deals. You are in So.Cal so I will say YES, there is a sale going on right now.

To call it a "sale" is misleading. very unimpressive. I am under the belief that they did this for the people that questioned whether or not they had good deals yesterday!

OCR has the 7 page ad. While it's not going to please everybody, there are several good deals just like a typical weekend ad: http://ads.myoc.com/onlineads/ocr/

Lexar 256MB USB drive $19.99 after $10MIR
Panasonic 200W CD/MP3 receiver (car) $99.99 after $10MIR
Rival 10 cup coffeemaker $FAR ($10)
Muvo 256MB Sport MP3 player (FM + expandable) $59.99 after $20MIR
17" LCD monitor $199.95AR
Emprex 16x dual layer/dual format DVD burner $59.99
BFG 5200 128MB AGP$39.99AR
Kodak 2MP, 2x optical zoom $67
50" DLP HDTV w/ built in ATSC and QAM tuner plus firewire and DVI inputs $1999
4 MGM movies for $20 (pretty decent selection of 25 movies)

and that's just the first page. :D

I think these are pretty hot:
512MB of mushkin PC3200 for $49.99
1GB DDR2-4200 dual channel kit for $159.99
Coolermaster 80mm fan $1.99
Sony 16x dual layer/dual format burner $89.99AR (only hot because it's a retail Sony drive)
Plextor external 8x DVD+/-R USB2.0/FW $79.99AR
The Urbz PS2/Xbox $29.99
THUG2 PS2/Xbox $29.99
AvP2 PC $9.99
Audigy2 ZS Gamer $77.99AR
CD Boombox $9.99
Polk audio 2 way bookshelf speakers $24.99 each

not really much better or worse than a regular weekend ad.

At least in the Bay Area they have the standard 8 page ad insert that's good until Tuesday the 30th.
They seem to have a few good deals.

Daewoo 17" LCD for 325 with 125 in rebate - $200 plus taxes on $325 SKU # 4158073

Maxtor 120 GB IDE hard drive - 59.99 out the door (no rebates) - SKU # 3493753

Harman Kardon AVR 230 - 299.99 - best price on pricegrabber for a non-refurb is 345 shipped -
SKU # 3821117

256 MB PC2700 memory 29.99 SKU # 3272501

512 MB of Mushkin PC 3200 memory - 89.00 with a 40 rebate - 49.99 with tax on 90 - SKU # 3328752

Boxed Sempron with motherboard (probably the ECS K7VTA3) for 64.99 - SKU 3 4189253

80mm CoolerMaster case fan 2.99 - SKU 3580074 They're usually 8.99 at Fry's, 6.00-7.00 at Microcenter

Also the AMD Sempron with motherboard (not sure which one but it's not the VTA3 because it has 6 channel audio and SATA connections) for 99.99. I know some people don't like this but the CPU alone is 107 at Newegg. - SKU 4296764

Maxtor 60 GB SATA retail boxed for 49.99 no rebates. - SKU #4187663 The cheapest price for the retail model on Pricewatch is 69.69 shipped from Newegg

Is there any way to check local Fry's sales online? I am in Georgia, but don't have the AJC (newspaper), and am looking to get a hot deal on a SD card for my new camera. If I do get my hands on an AJC, is it Sunday only, or will it be other days as well? Just wondering because it's about an hour drive the the one in Duluth for me, so I'd have to plan in advance.

Fry's has a big ad, but no real deals. More like a not very good regular ad, so you think the next thats only a little better is really good.

My wife and I looked over the Daewoo, which the Frys salesguys were REALLY dissing, and decided to wait for a better deal. 1 yr warranty was the breaking straw.
