I don't want to buy a voodoo 3 3000 PCI.

does the GeForce 2 MX PCI exist / will exist?

yes, and innovision made one.

however, MX's PCI version is quite inferior to the AGP version in terms of perf,
check out viahardware's review...

AGP is not an option for this motherboard. Yeah, onboard video sucks.

I will be happy as long as the Geforce 2 MX PCI perform better than the voodoo 3 3000 PCI!

The PCI MX does suck compared to an AGP. You might want to look into the Voodoo 4 PCI.

hmm..how bout the v5 5500 pci! will whoop the mx any day..i saw one going for 165 in the for/sale threads a few days back!. i got a geforce 2 gts myself! but the v5 5500 is wayyyyyyy better than the mx! just my opinion

voodoo 5 5500 PCI?

For that price I could buy a $150 motherboard and a $150 Geforce 2 MX AGP.

Yes, you could do that, but a voodoo5 5500 would still be better than the MX. And besides, a 5500 isn't $300. I got mines for $250, and that was quite a while ago. I'm sure you can find it even cheaper than that nowadays..!

Also, in RL there is not very much difference between PCI and AGP cards, providing they are the same except for connector. FUD, IMO.
