Well, I can't complain. The original clutch on my '94 Toyota Corolla just went. Almost 110K miles, which ain't bad. Of course, being out of the loop for so long has me wondering what I should expect to pay to replace it.
It depends if it's rebuilt or not. With that old of a car, I'd just get a rebuilt clutch and you'll probably save quite a bit, and it should last long enough. About exact costs, I'll let a mechanic give ya a good price on it, but you can probably get one for under $100 (I'm just guessing).
I'm talking about paying for parts and labor. No way I have the time or tools or know how to do the job myself. What will an honest mechanic charge me?
Damn! I just had one guy quote me $740 for the job. Claims it's a 7.5 hour job, and includes a complete replacement of all parts and seals. Is this legit?
