Yup, outlook express will give some sort of audible alert that you have mail. If you have a hotmail account, you can use outlook express to check it. Or, if you have some other form of mail, check and see if you can use the pop account in outlook.

Then just set outlook to check for messages every minute.

Wha-lah.

Hotmail works with MSN messenger, a little message pops up that says you just got an e-mail from *the sender*. It's really nice. I don't use Outlook much so I can't tell you which one is better.

For Outlook Express, go to tools\options and change how often it checks.

yeah OE makes my PC Speaker go click when there's mail, plus a tray icon shows up that I can double click to go to OE.

I have Outlook checking every two minutes. Why Outlook Express? It sucks compared to Outlook. Get Outlook. OutlookExpress is a cheap version.
