Is there a list of all the system processes and what they do and what ones I need?

I remember seeing one time a person posted a big list of all the system processes that windows has running at what they all did. Then at the end he suggested the ones I could take off the startup to cut on startup time and resource usage. Does anyone know of this link or a place I could find something like this?
