Is there a limit on keyboard and mouse cord length?

I have a regular ps/2 intellimouse not optical and a regular ps/2 keyboard but I need to extend the wires because I need to move my computer is there a max length of ps/2 cables and I can just pick up extentions at FRYs right? I am just not wanting degridation of the signal

I would imagine you are fine for the time being with an extension.

I dont know what the limit is (ie: at which point you get degredation) but I wouldnt try a cable of more than 5 times the normal length (extremely rough guess)

As long as you're not planning on laying down a few hundred metres of cable,
you're probably safe.
