I'm looking for the best vid card $300 can buy. I assume there is a sticky somewhere answering this question? Bueller?

Why wouldn't there be one? There's a sticky for LCD monitors and buying graphic adapters is much more confusing. Most of the messages here assume that the visitor is into gaming and understands all the different video card options. A buyers guide would be very helpful for the rest of us.

Well since there's no sticky, then just create a thread (like you just did, just rename the title to "need a $300 graphics card")

Next thing people are gonna ask you is when do you need it.
Only reason is G80 is coming out (supposedly this week) so if you wait a week or two, you might be able to get some price cuts on the 7900's and X1950 series cards.

It's the 7900GTO from evga. It's OOS and I don't know when and if it will come back but if it does, it's a really good value.
