Is there a GeForce4 Ti which can be plugged on my Epox 8KHA+????

I'm asking myself what I will buy: an ATI 8500, or a GeForce4Ti. I heard about the problem, and I wanna know....

Any input would be appreciated!!

I read that VisionTek is redesigning their GeForce 4 line to accomodate this problem. I haven't read anything on other companies doing such a thing. Wait a couple weeks for the new VisionTeks to filter through, unless they have a different model number with the revised vision, then get that instead.

Good luck and enjoy the card!

Thanks for the input!

I saw that on amdmb.com epox dedicated forum:

<< To this date it seems like the only one's that will NOT work is Revision 1 of the 8KHA+ and the Visiontek TI4600. I have revision2 of the 8KHA+ and the Visiontek Ti4600 and even though the capacitors are close it works great. I emailed Epox and they said even if the capicitors touch it is no problem. Only problem is people "slamming" the card in and breaking a capacitor. >>

and that...

<< So far, I haven't heard of a single Gainward Ti4600 not fitting. My Gainward fit perfectly in my 8KHA+. >>

Any opinions?

Yep it`s not all Epox 8KHA+ boards, btw there was a compatibility list at one website while back of GF4 TI4600 cards that fitted ok on the problematic 8KHA+ boards and there was Gainward,Leadtek and I think the last one was MSI.

I also heard as well that Visiontek were redesigning their GF4 ti cards to fit ok.

The abit NV7M & the NV7-133r also have this problem. I just got the nv7-133r & I was planning on buying a PNY gf4 4400 this weekend. Now, it looks like Ill run into trouble getting it to fit. Hardocp, though, did manage to get their gf4 boards to fit after bending the capacitor out of the way.

I'm running the Visiontek GF4 TI4400 in my Epox 8kha+ board with no problems. It's a close fit but it does fit without touching any capacitors. This is one of the Visionteks with the big capacitors at the end (I heard they were resdesigning their boards but the caps are big on mine).
