Is there a FAQ or anything like that?

I read all the help and rules I could find, and I did
a search for FAQ, but nothing turned up. I saw a minor
flame in one of the FS/FT threads about not crapping on
peoples threads and inferences that it was by a newbie
who did not read the rules, but the fact is I can't
find the rules anywhere.

So, can somebody point me to the rules, particularly
for the FS/FT forum?

One thing - how does a newbie (tm) go about finding these things,
other than perhaps by using the search engine to look for it.

I just tried a search, and this search interface seems a little
better than the one I saw when I searched for 'FAQ'. I just did
a search on 'Rules' and turned these up right off. Do registered
members get a better interface to the search, or did I use the
search from a different context, or am I just hallucinating?

Those threads/rules are at the top of the FS/T forum. I think you might have to be logged in to see them. The quick search at the top of the page does a search on the thread title and body for the current (not archived) threads. To search archives or on member names you have to go into the search area.
