Is There a DVD Player That Can Play Divx Codec?

I have seen many dvd players that let you watch vcds, but is there one that play the divx that are burned onto our CD-Rs?

there is already a divx player in the market already..... not sure it'll play dvd or not.

that would be awesome if there were. specifically one that plays dvd, (s)vcd, .avi (divx), asf, wmv, .mpg. w/o having to convert into another kind of format.

This one is guarenteed to play divx 4 and 5 content, and hopefully will be on sale here in the states by christmas. Divx 3 was never a legal codec so they didn't include support for it.

i have not done it myself so I wont comment my friend keeps trying me to get one though and FWIW he says its easy

i think it is the only one that will play all forms of divx , wma, asf etc. unless you go with a PC

Kinda off topic, but I heard Xbox modding is easier than PS2 modding, so I believe it's not too difficult. But still, people and I don't want to go through the hassle. Rather buy a nice looking DVD player that can do it all.

bravo only plays divx 4 and above unfortunately, and xvid. I think divx 3 is technically illegal since it contains msft code so I doubt they will add it

Its called a modded xbox,Xbox Media Player plays just about anything.

Well if you're looking into just installing Linux for divx, you wouldn't even need to open up the Xbox.
