is there a considerable difference b/w a 9 and 10 in netbook?

not much difference i'd be more concerned over keyboard. hp is #1 there.

makes the dell mini-9 keyboard seem like a toy.

so badly in fact dell mini-10 will copy the hp keyboard verbatim.

I didn't really think the HP keyboard was that amazing.
It didn't feel any better than my Eee pc 1000ha's keyboard.

I am used to an IBM Model M though, so really any non clicky keyboard feels like crap to me.

The extra 1 inch is worth it imo. It really makes a netbook that much easier to live with.
There really isn't any significant price difference if you compare 9" Eee pc's to 10" ones.

Whatever you get, make sure it has a 6-cell battery. The whole point of a netbook is portability, so why burden yourself with having to carry a power adapter because your battery doesn't last long enough.

yeah, i saw that the difference b/w the 9 and 10 in eeepc was about $55. i'm prolly gonna go wiht the 10in cause it seems to have a bigger keyboard which will make typing easier.

you know i just netbook to surf while watching tv or chill on the couch. the real laptops go out to play since they weigh just as much (x301) and do about 1000x more work.

netbook imo should not exceed a normal laptop (x301) 3lb. matter of fact the closer to 2lb the better.

an x301 is *not* a normal laptop by any standard, its an ultraportable, pricey.

normal is more like a 15.4" ~6lbs, probably under a grand
