is there a concrete release date for the radeon 9500pro and 9700?

Man, I really want to upgrade my video card from my geforce3 ti200, but ATI has NEVER shown me good long term value. Their drivers have always sucked. Guess I'm used to getting new nvidia drivers every month "leaked". 🙂

Heh, that is when the specs for the nv30 are released 😱 I really hope to get a 9500 Pro, its ATI's GeForce 4 Ti4200 Killer 😱

I'm on my third ATi videocard, and I've never had a single driver issue. The driver argument against ATi is really starting to sound like a broken record, especially considering the latest Catalyst drivers.

It was still a problem a year or so ago, when I and probably ozone13 got our ti200s. I was all set on getting an 8500, but the driver instability on certain games at the time put me off. I think I will go Ati this time though.

actually the 6166 drivers in the 2.3 Catalyst kept crashing my Radeon 8500LE. I solved it by upgrading to the 6193 drivers. Then I screwd myself big time by frying my card 🙁.
