Is there a character limit in the quick reply?

I typed up a fairly lengthy response in the quick reply box, hit reply and it errored out. Of course, it didn't keep any of the post in the box for me, so it was lost. I learned my lesson, wrote up a similar but much less useful reply and tried again only to see the same error (I'll get the error and EDIT this one, if I can get it to reappear).

So, is there a character limit we should be aware of?

EDIT: Ok, it worked just fine here. :| Maybe this forum is a bit different, but I'm not going to try to get the error again. It was something like:
You must have no more than 255 characters in the title.
Error: 1259

Or something.

Ugh, a wasted 15 minutes typing up that damn post, and then it isn't reproducable in here. WTF?

ERROR: Message titles have to be between 1 and 255 characters long.
Error Code: 1259

It does still work in the OS forum. :|
