I just wonder if there is BSEL Mod from 333mhz fsb to 400mhz fsb on the new 45nm CPU's since the QX9775 does the 1600mhz.

The reason is i m to lazy to do a new build and I m almost sure after bios update the Inspiron 530 takes those cpu's just fine....

I hope somebody can help me out before i start trying it myself lol.....

I believe the Inspiron 530 uses the G33 chipset, which does not officially support 1600MHz FSB.

Regarding the 333->400 BSEL mod, yes it exists. Indeed this article came out yesterday.

I know there has been the a new bios update for the 1333mhz cpu's I guess i find out when i get that CPU. Thanks for the link that helps me out alot.

Got the Penryn in today, I m sure the mod works just not with the Dell. So no 3.2ghz for me i keep the Q6600 and will not bother anymore because 2.66ghz vs. 3ghz 12mb vs. 8mb isn't worth $100 of upgrade.
