Is there a big difference between athlon 1.13 and 1.33ghz?

I ordered a 1.33 and they sent me a 1.13ghz instead. They said I can send it back and wait to get the right one, which will probably take another 3 weeks or they'll credit me the difference if I keep the 1.13 which comes to only $20. With a geforce 2 64meg video card and over 300meg ddr ram will I notice the difference in processor speed when I play games? Is it worth the trouble to wait for the 1.33 or should I just keep what I have?

Yeah, they said they're moving to a new location so it'll take up to 10 business days to process and send it out. I figure that really means 14 days plus a week for UPS ground. I really need a computer now though for work purposes even though $20 compensation doesn't seem very much.

I say bump the 1.13 up to 1.33 if your mobo has the features for this and save the $20 for a new sound card or something. You can prob run stable at default voltage or might have to bump the voltage to 1.8. Try it at default run 3Dmark2001 for about 30mins cranked up. If it runs for 30mins without any lockups or kicking you back to windows you should be fine. I got my 1gig@1.2 default voltage for over 4 months.

But you might have to unlock it. But if you decide to use 10x133 don't bother with overclocking the FSB because it might make things more unstable.

I would tell them to ship you the 1.33 and you'll send them the 1.13 as soon as you receive the 1.33 since you need a computer right now and it's their mistake. If they say no, get a full refund and buy from elsewhere.

Thanks guys. They are sending the 1.33 before I have to ship mine back but it's a barebones so I can't really use 1.13 right away. It will be a pain to install the drives and video card, etc to use it now then have to take it out and put it in the new system when it gets here. I guess from everyone's post that it's worth the extra speed.

Yeah you get an additional benefit with the 1.33. They come unlocked, at least I have never seen anyone post that they had one that wasn't. Most of the 1.33's can overclock decently too. Never seen much about the 1.13's being good overclockers.
