Neither of those are fruit, just FYI.

I believe you're misguided.

gogo narrow definition that no one in their right mind would ever use in a non-scientific sense.

Beside the point, which is to be holier-than-thou on the interwebs.

what?

He's just being a typical ATOT analist talking about how the peach you eat is actually not a techinical 'fruit' part of the tree. It's something else and some shit.

For example, strawberry is not really a fruit, it's a membrane that holds 9834793847 seeds. So technically, if you eat 1 strawberry, you actually ate 200 'fruit'.

Fully-sourced for your credibility-whining pleasure.

You should look up the definition of a fruit in a dictionary, which defines its common use.

See above, response to Loki. I'm timewarping the shite (British for poo) out of this thread.

No, but I might be admitting that it's a stupid ass trick that people try to pull off on here way too often. Holier than thou is still win because with the exact definitions of the word that article is correct in technicality. OP did not specify common usage context when beginning the thread.

Some may argue that common usage is inferred by default because internet forums are informal conversation, but that's just a Red Herring and completely off topic.

See, this is the problem with interwebs forums. You have to anticipate every possible argument against your position ahead of time, which is impossible, which is why no one ever gets anywhere. Also, people are completely devoid of the ability to have fun in this off topic forum, for some reason.

You're not starting an attempt at your own HTT here are you?
