Can you be a little more vague?

I'm assuming you're basically asking to crack a WEP key. There are plenty of tools on the net to do so.

Reset your router to default settings and make a new one. Or Google AirSnort and buy a compatible WiFi card to crack it.

Well, if he has access to the WiFi router, then all he has to do is simply change the key. No need to reset the entire router.

So, I assume the question is, "How to crack a WiFi key?" ?

On some routers, they mask the wifi key. So if that's the case and you have access to the router menu, right click the page and view source. You should be able to find it in there.

Some time ago I was able to extract network settings(SSID and WEP included) from my local network through ethernet port without logging in to the deveces main panel. But I can't remember how I did it.
And it was no form for wepcracking.
