is the zalman 7000cu weight really a problem?

nope, a lot of people here use it and have no problems. i use a hefty slk800 which weights a lot esp with a fan. you shouldnt have a problem

since it bolts straight onto the motherboard you don't have to worry about it exceeding the maximum supported weight of the cpu ziff socket. I'd still make sure the computer is somewhat secured when being transported though

no problems with getting it on. the big concern is moving the case with the HSF hanging off that socket. I suppose a good jolt to the case could knock it right off...

wait a sec, I thought it didnt bolt into the motherboard, I thought it get screwed in into those 2 "arms"

Yup you're right, it gets screwed into the arm thingies. The SLK-u's bolt in and that can be a real pain in the butt. You'll like the 7000cu, it's seriously one of the best designed hsfs ever made.
