um...doesn't a GTS kick the crap out of a Radeon? What am I missing here? Anand did a review of a Radeon DDR LE (but he enabled hyper Z and clocked it up) and one of the other cards in the bench was a GF2 GTS. Not the GTS-V, but the V will clock up there with the regular GTS.

Anyway, the GTS kicks the living crap out of the Radeon. Go look at the review. Kicks the crap out of it.
Whatever...

Well, maybe not "kick the crap out of it", but does provide significantly higher framerates in games and benchmarks.

Probably the concept that the Radeon fans feel there is more to life than framerates and benchmarks. They tout the visual quality of the Radeons versus the speed of the Nvidia cards.

Confirmed!:D Just got my GTS-V today and FWIW here are my 3D Mark 2001 totals:
default - 2550
200/331 - 2999
It seems to run just fine at 200 core 331 memory which matches the regular GTS. And mine came with 7ns ram (was really hoping for some of that 5.5ns love, but no such luck :() Overall I am happy with the GTS-V, and will proceed to clock the heck out of it in the hopes that the Geforce 4 MX 440 will drop to the $70 mark or so before I ruin this GTS-V. Later,
Chuck

So how's the visual quality of your new card? I went from a Radeon 32 DDR to a Geforce 3 200 TI...no difference in visual quality whatsoever. Some people should take their ATI goggles off....

It is certainly adequate. Comparable to my old MX and as best I recall about like my Voodoo 3 3000. I have never tried an ATI card (other than the ATI Expert cards in the new Dells at my office), so I really can't compare it to a Radeon. Also my monitor is a 2 year old viewsonic A70 17" from BestBuy, supposedly has a .26 dpi, but I know my KDS Trinitrons have better color and detail. At 1024x768 my desktop looks fine and text is okay, although I am sure it could be better. Maybe someday I will trade someone for a Matrox vid card just to see what so many people rave about. Maybe if I build a "work only" machine for my wife, I will go with a "super 2D" card.
