Heh, yep. Many of the Indians I know are pretty racist, especially against Middle Easterners.

I used to fill in sometimes at this rental store that was in a city with a large Indian community. A lot of them living there are newcomers.

Most of the staff were either white or black. We had one brown guy, who they'd try to butter up. They were extremely rude to the rest of us. Clear as day what they were doing. Our brown guy had grown up here though, and knew their game. Used to charge them the highest rate while making them think they got a bargain. :awe:

It was well known that the company would send bad employees to that location if they wanted to get rid of you. Turn around rate was very high, which is why I kept having to go there to fill in. A ten hour day there had you ripping your hair out.

Let me pretend to take you seriously for a moment.

What exactly do you mean by "stuff like New Orleans, Ferguson, Treyvon Martin"?

Erm...racist incidents in your own country?

So you reckon the USA isn't racist at all? Or there is no double standard? if so, so?

Agreed. Go to Europe and in many of those countries, racism is tolerated and even the govt turns a blind eye to it. Ppl are not ashamed to admit hatred for particular race. E.g. go to eastern Europe and if you are/resemble a gypsie you will be discriminated against. My gf's parents generation still hates the Turks, russians or anything Muslim.

That's bigotry and prejudice, but not racism.

Unless you consider Russian a race.

Or pee like a Russian Race Horse possibly.

How come most Americans hate racism, but then you have stuff like New Orleans, Ferguson, Treyvon Martin?

Most people say they hate racism because even though its an artificial foolish concept, the media pushes it vigorously telling people that using some caution with people and cultures different from your own is bad, which is obvious nonsense.

Some level of caution with things you don't fully understand is entirely reasonable.

What is right, is to condemn those who take the extreme views, violent views, rather than simple caution, combined with respect and tolerance.

Regards your media events;

Ferguson
Statistically its very unlikely officer Wilson did anything wrong, even more unlikely it rises to a criminal act. Aside from the witnesses that discussed the case among themselves and local activist Tony Shahib, then gave media interviews prior to police statements, whose testimony will never pass the scrutiny of a court, nothing in evidence contradicts self defense. Hands up, unarmed, doesn't mean squat if you are foolish enough to attack someone armed.

Trayvon Martin
Most likely Trayvon gave Zimmerman a beating because Trayvon thought Zimmerman was gay, second best guess, the beating was for snitching on him (same reason for the most recent fight that Trayvon was suspended for, giving a beating to someone who snitched on him). Regardless there is no real doubt that Trayvon beat Zimmerman, sat on him and pounded his head while Zimmerman screamed for help and tried to get away, but did no harm of any kind to Trayvon, until incredibly foolishly Trayvon saw his victim was armed and reached for the gun, forcing Zimmerman to use it to defend his life. Race was never a factor.

we're not usually OPENLY racist if that's what you mean.... people aren't burning crosses in yards anymore (or that i can even remember in my lifetime)...

but yes, most people are racist to an extent, some are very racist, but most just stick to their own race, it's not like open war between races lol...they just stick to their part of town (most towns in my state have a "little mexico," and "the hood."....and then the normal neighborhoods where white folk live, and then usually an upper class area where it's almost exclusively white (sad but true in my town)

ferguson has been a really rough neighborhood long before this happened.... it wouldn't happen in most cities...isolated area that had been brewing for a long time due to corrupt police department.

Racisim is prevalent pretty much everywhere. In Thailand they hate Africans because of their skin color. They don't like Myanamar (sp?) because of their low status in society. They also dont like Indians. I asked my girlfriend why she doesn't like Africans, and she told me they have evil black skin. Lol...

The main difference is in Asia they will tell you why they don't like certain races. You see it in the help wanted section as well. No Africans wanted.

Obviously George W. Bush was so racist with his hated of black people that he created the hurricane himself and self-directed it at New Orleans to destroy their homes. And then afterwards he flew over in his private plane looking down observing the destruction he unleashed with gentle amusement.

eh? just asked this out of curiosity...

figures since you all say you hate racism, but then stuff like Ferguson happens.

Im not "racist", I dislike all humans equally as humans. There are, however, certain ethnicities that I dislike more than others.
