I like to deal in the real. In the actual world when wealth is created the world gets richer. It doesn't mean someplace else gets poorer.

In the real world resources are limited. Giving them someone necessarily means someone else has less.

Additionally, we are talking about an American. If an American wants to live in China that's no different than an American living in Paris. It's part of living in a free country and freedom and liberty are part of what makes life worth living.

The only thing American about the child is his passport. Why should a child born to Chinese(or any other country) parents who pop over to American for a 2 week vacation and then return to China be considered American?

Her parents aren't married. One of the reasons given for not letting people vote was "bastard children".

Wrong.

I didn't realize being unable to feed yourself, or your bastard kids, constituted a "lifestyle". At least not for long ;)

One of the reasons I gave was being unable to feed your bastard kids.

The point being I am not "punishing" people for having lifestyles I dislike. I am "punishing" people for having lifestyles that are inconsistent with reality.
