is the thermal paste that comes with ahte zalman hsf any good or should i get somthing else?

People usually spend $1000+ on a reasonably powerful rig. What's another $5 for a tube of good thermal grease? It's a drop in the bucket.

Just get the Arctic Silver 5 and be done with it.

Conductive means that it can "conduct" electricty which can cause issues, like shorts than can damage or prevent your equipment from working, AS 5 is very slightly conductive and thats something you don't really want in a Thermal compound used around expensive electronics, thats why I stick w/ Ceramique as it's non conductive and cools better than just about any other thermal compound commonly avi. for PC's except AS 5.

Conductivity is a point that is becoming less and less important. You would have to be pretty reckless now to say that its easy to get thermal grease on important components. all new chips besides mobiles( I don't consider AXP new) have heatspreaders on them. you shouldn't be afraid to use AS% because of conductivity issues
