Is the taste of alcohol acquired or instant? With POLL

Yeah, just had my first beers the last two months. Not sure if I like it or not. Also had some regular red wine and not sure if I like it either.

Just wondering for most people if you had to work to like the taste of alcohol or did you like it from the first shot.😛
 
The first alchohol i ever tried was beer.

I thought it tasted like shi!t. And i still do.

I don't really like the taste of any alchohol, but mixed drinks with vodka or rum are good 🙂
 
beer - instant
liquor (specifically- but not limited to- Tequilla) - aquired

hangover - only if I don't drink
 
beer is acquired. try different beers. same thing with wine, though wine i think takes longer to develop a strong pallet for. liquor takes longest. i think its scotch that takes the longest, they say 8+ years of drinking.
 
Beer as an acquired taste? Don't think so. Some hard liquor? Maybe. Not so much an acquired taste as an acquired skill of downing shots like Peja downs 3s. I like beer, wine, and hard alcohol (but not a WHOLE lot of the latter).

Hehe, my uncle gives me some sometimes, but I've never been drunk or buzzed. I didn't really like beer too much, and the mixed drinks were difficult to tell they had any alchohol in them at all. It wasn't a small portion, I just didn't taste it.
 
I hated the taste of beer the first time, and I still hate it now.

Vodka was awful for me the first few times. I was forced to do nasty mixed drinks and what not to mask the taste (or try to). Eventually I did some shots and long story short I drink it straight out the bottle now.

I forsee alcoholism in my future.

Same here. I absolutely hate beer and wine, and I only like very few mixed drinks, and only then if they aren't too strong.
 
There are wide differences in taste between beers and other liquors. Some taste better than others.

I still think beer tastes like crap, I prefer my mixed liquors.
 
I hated beer the first time I tried it..but now since I've found the right one, it's good. Alcohol came faster.
 
smirnoff usually taste like smirnoof to me. but there was one time I was really depressed, it totally tasted like alcohol

Hard Liquor is much easier to deal with than beer. Beer took about 6-7 iterations before I found one that didn't make me want to spit it out.
