Is the system AGP or PCI-express?

Ok, this is really a tech support question and I'm the tech support guy. Does anyone know if there's an easy way to know if PC has a PCI Express slot or an AGP slot?

I can check the chipset under Devices for PCI Express (910, 915), but that only tells me if the PC has a PCI Express slot. There's no guarantee if it's not PCI Express that the PC has an AGP slot.

Don't suppose there's a good utility for identifying this sort of thing. Is there maybe one buried in XP? (Yep, their all XP systems.)

Thanks for any help.

You should be able to check under the directx diagnostics utility.

Window Key + R
Then type in 'dxdiag'. Might show what type of video display adapter there under the DISPLAY tab.

Mine says 'Mobility Radeon 9000 AGP', for example.

Mr. Bond, I need to know if the system has an unused AGP slot or PCI slot. Might be upgrading the graphics on these systems.

Looks like Everest will do the trick. You'd think it wouldn't be so hard to bundle a decent system info tool with XP.

Thanks, all.
