I just bought a Intel P3 850 (100mhz bus) I am using this for a file/print server and no overclocking. Should I use the intel heatsink and fan with thermal tape that came with it. Or should I buy another heatsink and thermal comopound? Can anyone reccomend a good QUIET cpu fan for socket 370?

Thanks

It should be good enough.
Changing the thermal pad to Arctic Silver would lower your temps a bit.

It'll work fine even with the pre-applied compound. Don't waste your money on that silver junk. I find the fans to be noisy though...especially with two.

The Molex CPU fans.

You can buy one from QuietPC.com.

I have the radial fin socket-A fan and it's cooling my Thunderbird 1 GHz without problems. Not bad for a fan that generates almost no noise.
