Both on, its all black and cool looking, system runs stable as a rock no point in pulling the side panels off right now.

Yes, almost always ON, and I'm an avid tweaker. So, it comes off when needed for me to messaround. The case is wedged between two pieces of furniture so it's a PITA to move it, and everytime I have to I curse.

Oh well.
