is the PSP OS update that includes the web browser out yet?

ah yeah thats the japanese version, i heard the US version was out on 12th august? and that while the jap one works fine it voids warranty

anyone have any more info? i can only find that the US version was meant to be out on 12th of august, its now the 22nd and the US sony site still has 1.52 as the latest

They pushed it back. I don't think they gave an offical updated release date, though.

Yes, the US release has been delayed. There is speculation that it's due to people finding an exploit for 2.0 that may lead to the ability to run homebrew software on it.

i was just about to plug some money into a micro drive mp3 player, but i read that the PSP update adds support for Atrac3 and AAC (itunes) music to be put on the MS duo and played, so now i think i wont bother, and just buy from Itunes instead of napster/connect
