Is the price premium for energizer and duracell worth it?

I just need to buy regular old AA batteries for standard things around the house like television and video game controllers. Also, some other random things.

Is it worth it to buy the name brand batteries or should I just stick with the cheaper generic batteries?

Rayovac are cheaper.

There was a study done earlier that said that walgreens batteries last longer than both of them.

That's funny, I've been buying Walgreens batteries for a while because they are quite cheap.

from the reviews i remember seeing, no. they hold slightly more, and probably can be trusted to leak less. but if you were going by minutes of use per buck...they aren't superior enough to justify the price difference for most applications.

I switched to Rayovac and never looked back for my remotes, wireless mouse, Wavebirds, and just about everything else.
