I really like this motherboard but have a HP 1115 printer, Umax scanner, and a hook up for my pdr-m4 camera all which get used alot.

I really like thsi board but don't want to have to buy an external hub to get everything to work ok

thanks

Yup just built my P4 system.

When I overclock my intellimouse just blinks at startup of the bios as soon as I plug it ... boot up begins as normal.
I started using the Usb to PS/2 connector I'm going to play around with this some more.

I'm using the 1005 beta 4 bios I believe.

FYI - You can still use a USB mouse with these boards. You have two options. One is to just wait a few seconds. The mouse will blink and the bios will seem to hang, but after a few seconds it will kick through. It has something to with the PNP card initialization the board does @ boot up. Another option is to just wait until the bios posts and senses the IDE devices, then plug the mouse in...or just wait until Windows boots, then plug it in. It only occurs when the board is first turned on..it works fine after that. The problem also seems to be pretty much with MS Optical mice. 🙂

Yep, I got two Logitech cordless USB ( one optical, one scroll ), both work fine with P4B266/C at 150FSB and above. Microsoft sux. 🙂

I sorta/kinda found a fix for people that are having this problem, it applies if you have a usb hub. I usually had my optical mouse hooked up to 1 usb port and the other was to my hub with 2 other usb devices. Now i noticed that my hub stopped blinking before my mouse did, way before. So i hooked up my mouse to my hub, wah la, fixed.

No problems here with a Logitech dual optical, Epson usb printer, at 145fsb.

phamtastik- do you have a 'c' version of the board, because I didn't know they had that high of bios version out yet.
