My dad has lots of tech and absolutely ZERO tech sense. I got him a canon a20 years ago and he's never used it cuz he gives up, forgetting how to transfer photos from camera, etc.

So I know Bluetooth would work which cameras have had for a while now but I like the WiFi I'm seeing in that new Nikon s800c. He could email photos right from his camera and never even have to worry about transferring.....(I'd buy him a monster card so I'd only have to clear it once every blue moon for him).

or is there a better camera out there for the old man?

TIA

Years ago I bought my Mom a Kodak easyshare with the docking station for just this reason. With it, she simply stored it on the docking station (which kept it charged) and whenever she used it and put it back on the docking station she pressed one button and the pictures were downloaded to her computer and removed from the camera memory card. The computer had a slideshow going all the time and the new pics were automatically added to the rotation.

She eventually learned to make videos with the camera and to put photos on a jump-drive and go to Walmart to make prints.

Kodak is out of the game, but you can still get these NIB on Ebay.

Do you really think he'll email photos from his camera?

Thanks guys. Sorry so long, I was traveling to said father's abode. (lol he's got faster friggin Internet than I do here........30mb down and 3mb up........ )

But anyway, he recently bought his dream rv and I know that he would love to be able to just choose & send.(assuming wifi, of course).

But that way I could just eliminate the computer from the game altogether.

And, yes, I realize a smart phone would be great here, too, but again, he is not tech savvy.......in the least!
