Is the new chipset x99 worth it?

Lots of 2600-3000mhz DDR4 memory is showing up at retailers. The 2133 seems is the slowest stuff I see anywhere.

If you're comparing X99 to X58 or X79, then yes, it's definitely worth it. If you're comparing it to Z97, then that's really just a matter of opinion. I would have said X79 wasn't worth it compared to the Z77/Z87 stuff, but I think X99 as a platform is definitely worth it compared to Z97, just as the X58 was clearly superior to the P55. It largely depends on what you're doing though. For the average-case gaming rig, it's hard to justify the ~$600 increase just to move to the baseline X99 platform from the mid-upper end of the Z97 platform.

I for one am planning to build on the X99 platform, but that's more because I'm looking forward to the Haswell-E Xeons getting into my desktop. The well-clocked 12C and 14C SKUs are most interesting to me.

Do you think its better to buy mem and fill in all slots for ex 16gb. is it better to get 2x8GB chips or 4x4GB. what do you think of [TridentX] F3-2133C9D-16GTX?

- 2x8GB is better for Z97 than 4x4GB.
- You can get a G.Skills kit with 1.5V and same DDR3-2133 for $155. Put the savings into a larger/faster SSD/videocard:

Note: I've never used more than 8GB of RAM and am not aware of any PC game that benefits from more than 8GB of RAM. You could save some money and just get 8GB instead of 16GB.

2 x 8 is a lot faster as stated above, your build looks amazing and a lot better than mine,e specially after you make those improvements.
