Is the Netgear WGR614 Apple Airport-compatible?

I just tried replacing my Dell Wireless Router with this router, same WEP, same Channel. But it won't work on a 4 year old Apple Ibook with an Airport Card. How can I make it compatible, if possible?
 
They should all adhere to the same standards. If your Apple is four-years old I would suggest checking to see if 802.11b support is enabled.
 
Are you trying to use 128 bit WEP on an old 56 bit Airport card?

There's a free firmware flasher somewhere on Apple's site to update their 56 bit gear to full 128 bit.

But that might not be your problem...
