see what your making me do? your making me publicly admit to seeing 2 TERRIBLE movies in the theatres to the public! thats how much im trying to help you avoid this movie.

You wanna talk about bad. I saw "He-Man" starring Dolph Lungren with my brother when we were young. That was the worst theater going experience EVAR! People laughed out loud at how stupid the movie was when they were leaving the theater.

😕

hey I have the He-Man movie saved on my Tivo, I've watched it about 6 times. My 4 year old son loves it! Courtney Cox! Woot!

I liked it, but very few others did.

I still thought it was a lot better than, say THE HULK. Ew, what a wretched disaster THAT was.

i suggest you read the book if you liked the movie...the rushed the whole ending and took out alot of characters.....as well as totally changed key things

Isn't that always the case with Stephen King novel-to-movie translations?

While I haven't read the book (it's next on my list after I finish 'Everything's Eventual') I will chance it to say that they did a good job translating the book anyway because the whole "mind's eye" concept seemed VERY dead-on King.

Not always. The Shawshank Redemption was made very very closely to the book (actually, the movie was slightly better as the expanded the evil warden character some more), and Stand By Me was really close to The Body.

I've read but not seen Apt Pupil, but that was also in "Different Seasons" along with Shawshank and The Body.... maybe it's similar too?

Oh, and Dreamcatcher the movie was pretty bad. It's alright to watch and waste an evening if you've already rented it, but I wouldn't make the trip to the video store for it.

I finally saw it. I will admit that there were some key changes to the story (Hated the new ending) but I think this is a case of 2 greats. 1. Great book that gave me great mental images as I read. 2. Great director/producer that actually made the movie almost identical to the way I saw it in my mind while reading. It was uncanny enough that I really thought I had seen the movie before up to the ending.

In regards to Kings books to movies, as a whole I think this is probably one of the best. Outside of the ending, I don't know why people are ragging on it so hard.
