I hope that others here will be willing to do likewise, but I fear even with direct bibliographies to known works of Smith, they will say that somehow it doesn't count.... you know, it was the second Tuesday of the month, so that doesn't count.... or something like that.

How is our truth different than your 'truth'. We live a life of self-reliance, abstain from impurities in our bodies, have strong family relationships, help out in our communities, and are ever striving to become closer to Christ in living by his example. What is ffmcobalt's testimony, other than condemning those around him?

Some may view all organized religions as "cults". Members of any particular religion may look at all others as "cult-like". As far as I'm concerned, if someone has a spiritual life which involves humility before a Diety (pick your major religion here), and it provides the individual with true peace and better skills in navifating this life with less distress, more power to them!!!!

That's a very refreshing post.... thanks for sharing that.

I get a bit wearing and even grumpy sometimes when I see this much negative stuff coming for people who claim to be following Christ.

Perhaps I am wrong. The Mormons do believe that Christianity as God ordained it stopped with the death of the Apostles, right? So if those practicing something they called Christianity for all of those centuries wasn't God's religion and worship... whose was it? If God's religion ended with the Apostles, then who was the leader of the now fallen church? Do you just fail to see as you go along... or what?

The same could be said for all sorts of religions.... and they still aren't Christian. If I believe that Chirst and the Father are the same being and you believe they are two different beings... are we worshipping the same being? I don't think so. If I follow a Gospel given from God to Man and you follow one given from an Angel to man... are we following the same Gospel? I don't think so on this either!

What is ffmcobalt's testimony, other than condemning those around him?
