I've only known two people who drove an eclipse, and they're both women.

Damn, calm down. I didn't say you didn't work on your car, I'm just saying the people I have run into that call my car a girls car are pretty much always that type.

Also, my car was built in Normal, IL with more then half of it's part from US origin and only twenty-something percent of it's parts from Japan. Where were 4th gen Camaros built again? :D

I've worked on Mustangs and I've worked on a lot of DSM's (1G's and 2G's). Doing maintainence things like tunes ups, oil changes, brakes are much easier to do on the Eclipse then a V8 RWD car. I can probably have new brake pads in my car on both front wheels in under 45 minutes, hardly a difficult job.

Look how easy it is to get to my cams.

Just 10 ARP studs and the timing belt hold the head on, not hard work at all.

Do you see how easy it is to get to my spark plugs?

But yup, pulling the transmission/engine is a pain, I guess you got me there. But I know that if you own a Mustang doing an engine swap is as easy as an oil change.

My wife thinks its a chick car......... but she drives a 70' Chevelle so that must be a chickcar too then? I had a 95 AWD turbo talon and I'd NEVER own one again, started modding it and it started breaking parts left an right (though easy to get into the 13's). I currently drive a "grandpa" car according to my wife, a 97' Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. (resonably quick, and damn good fuel mileage for a 4000# 290hp V8 car)

I have a Magnus intake manifold, HKS cams, a 6 bolt engine (1G head), and had a 20G turbo (turbo ate itself). I'll be adding a 50 trim in summer hopefully and am putting in a new transmission right now. Just waiting on a Fidenza aluminum flywheel. Everything is controlled by a DSMLink. The only thing I don't like about the car is that it is FWD, one day I may convert to AWD if money ever allows.

I can't tell you how many Camaro/Mustang guys have told me I drive a girl car, but they all end up being the same guys to pay a shop to install their clear tail lights and K&N intake and take their car to the dealership for tune ups.

Since you bought the Spyder, that made it even more of a girls car. However since you have work done to it - assuming you did the work yourself - you redeemed yourself. You still drive a girls car, but at least its more manly under the hood.

BTW, Mustang's are just as much a girls car IMO.

I never seen a chick drive a 700 HP supercharged 347 Stroker 5.0 stang before...

never seen a chick driving a Saleen S351RR and most likely will never see a girl driving a 2007 500 HP Shelby Cobrastang either...

yah real girls car.. retard..

6 banger stangs yah i can see that.. but the legendary 5.0s and suped up aftermarket stangs not girls cars..

btw eclipse poster...
my stangs are 500% easier to work on as a shadetree mechanic than your POS FWD japanese garbage.. and no the shop never built my stangs we did everything except the machine work to the block and heads and intake.

that includes engine swaps, tranny rebuilds and swaps, clutch jobs, brake jobs, install cams, heads, intakes, superchargers, turbos NOS etc etc etc..

same goes for my bikes these days.. bike never sees the shop we do all our own work me and my friends.

Someone's upset that they drive a cute little girl car...

Actually I havent driven a car since the 90s...
bikes are where its at..
low wear and tear on the roads.
HOV lane access
gas milage up there with the Hybrids
and low prices and ultra performance (smoke any car on the roads for under 12k)

But i've never seen a chick in a super high horsepower stang unless it was her boyfriends..

id sure like to know what the average computer club geek here thinks isnt a girl car..

5.0 Stangs
modern Modular Stangs
RX7/8s
Camaros
Vettes
S2000
Vipers
Supras
Eclipes
euro trash exotics?

personally my idea of a girl car.. is BMWs, Mercedes Benz, Jap Trash sedans,
economy boxs, SUVs and station wagons.. or 6/4 cyclinder wannabe sports cars.
and most girl cars ive seen on the street scene are all show no go...

girls dont belong for the most part in high performance sports/muscle cars.. they never use them to thier potentials.. and most of the time all they care about is how they look.
