Is the Maestro MPU401 a full duplex sound card?

I have a Maestro MPU401 sound card in a notebook that I purchased about 4 years ago.
Is this a full duplex sound card? Is there an easy way to test for this capability?
Thanks very much.

Gordon

I don't believe that card is Full Duplex, but you can maybe test it this way to see:

Bring up 2 of your standard windows recorders:

In the first one, browse to a .wav file, and let it play:

While its playing, bring up the other Windows recorder and try to record at the same time.
if its records while the other one is playing, then it should be Full Duplex.

Hope that helps.

Shawn.
