Is the desktop cheap?

I'm thinking about getting this desk, but the black top looks like it may be cheap. Just wondering if it's peals easily... Also, if anyone has this, would a natural keyboard and a mouse fit on the drawer?

I have a desk similar to the 2nd one. Paid about $120 for it (but it has the hutch too).

I doubt the laminate top peels, but can't tell the rest of it. You should try to see if a Staples store has it available for inspection.
