is the D975XBX2 compatible with my memory?

i have TWIN2X2048-6400C4 and i checked the corsair compatibility page. it lists the D975XBX so I'm guessing the D975XBX2 would be compatible as well or am I wrong?

should be just fine. That's the DDR2-800, right?

yes, it's the DDR2-800. (timing 4-4-4-12). Corsair's website doesn't have the BX2 listed at all, just the BX. But since the mobos are very similar I figured it would work on both.
