Politicians are corrupt and always have been.

But we're going to turn a blind eye when we're in power!

Two can play at that. But I refuse to sink to your level, you'd beat me with experience anyways.

Looks liek the uptick started with the republicans, yet they want to write about it NOW.

Oh yea the WSJ is owned by news corp (i.e. Fox)

Ahh, the always present "But THEY did it, so WE should get to do it" right?

Well that certainly justifies the corruption. I feel better.

Funny... While I agree with the position you put forth, here, I'm wondering how well you practice what you preach. Would one find even one thread, out of your nearly 8000, where you took a critical position of such things when it was people of your political ideology who were guilty of such things?

Personally, I think it's crummy when both sides do it, have said as much, and will continue to do so. Can you say the same?

So let me get this straight.

When a republican get caught doing something corrupt, there is no excuse for the behavior because republicans supposedly preach being not-corrupt.

When democrats get caught doing something corrupt, it's OK because democrats have no morals and don't think it's bad to be corrupt?

Where in my post, which you quoted, did I say anything even remotely resembling that?

That sounds about right!
I guess it's all about the change!
From corrupt to ... more corrupt.

From corrupt to ... more corrupt.

It takes a lot of ignorance to equate the two. I culd cite thousands of incidents during the Bush years without comparison ot the current government.

But to keep it simple, why don't you list me anything the Democrats have done that begins to compare to the one I described above by Tom DeLay and Republicans who allowed it.

From reading your posts it seems you get most of your opinions from either Southpark or the Simpson's..probably some from King of the Hill too.

Funny, I don't recall making a South Park reference in awhile, but I am touched that you remember...

But don't forget Family Guy or Aquateen Hunger Force either as I enjoy them just as much...as an FYI, King of the Hill isn't as funny as it used to be, but then again neither is the Simpsons.

You do realize there is more to watch on TV than CSPAN and Lawrence Welk, right? There is something out there called humor...you should look into it sometime... ;)
