Is the Athlon XP 2400+ FSB266 easily overclockable on a EP-8RDA+?

Howdy all,

I'm about to order a new processor and I was wondering how well the Athlon XP 2400+ was in overclocking on a Epox EP-8RDA+. I'm trying to run the processor at FSB400mhz so it'll run at the same speed as my DDR3200 RAM. Do I have to mod anything to do this? Thanks.

Most 2100+ tbreds can hit 200mhz fsb, especially on the 8rda+. I dont think you will have a problem getting there on your 2400+. If you dont want to spend that much money, get a 2100+... they often overclock to the same mhz as the 2400+

Better yet, get a 1700 1.5 Volt. It will smoke them both.
