Is the ANTEC TWELVE HUNDRED really Full Tower or Mid Tower ATX?

For my new upcoming system I wanted to ensure to get a large enough case, for too long have I been plagged with a Mid-Tower ATX case where everything almost fits and temperatures reach the boiling point.

Therefore I did some quick research and found a case that I thougth fit my needs perfectly (panel on top, full tower, no front door I need to open)...
ANTEC TWELVE HUNDRED Ultimate Gaming Case

From what I can see (on Newegg for example) this case seems amazing, Full ATX Tower with 5x 120mm & 1x 200mm fans, ample room for my system and still a lot of free space for good ventilation - I was sold...
But this morning I was looking for good prices and noticed some stores had this case listed as a MID-TOWER ATX... and that had me worried...

So - I wanted to ask the experts - which is it? Full- or Mid- ?
And of course - while I am at it - what does the general population think of this computer case?

Anyone actually own one or know for sure? Or have something else they would recommend (for the $172 CDN cost)...
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I have one and I love it. It's a big case. It fits everything I have quite nicely (3 hard drives, 4870, dvdrw, OCZ Vendetta 2). If you're worried about having enough room, an Antec 1200 will put those worries to rest. I could not be happier with this case.

You can just as easily fit it all into a Cooler Master Centurion 690. I can hold 8 hard drives in my 590 using an extra drive cage and it keeps the first rig in my sig perfectly cool. I don't believe a large case is warranted. Just get a larger sized mid-tower.

IIRC the Antec 1200 is still a mid-tower. It doesn't have support for eATX motherboards, which a lot of full tower cases support.

Anything over 20" in both directions can be considered a full tower. Newegg almost never has the best price on Antec - Provantage has the 1200 for $174. shipped to me in central NY, YMMV. Take a look at the Silverstone Kublai KL-03 - it is pretty future proof as well. As RM said, I think it's silly to make a large case and still not be able to support EATX size mobos even though very few gamers or other home users (the 1200's market) won't be interested in using one at least you'd be sure of support of any card length up to 13".
. Take a look at the original Stacker (STC-T01). The original and still one of the best cases for an extreme system. Can mount two PSUs, EATX mobos and has plenty of drive bays. Getting hard to find, perhaps CM stopped production on it, but froogle turns up a number of places that still have them. But many of the Froogle hits have no stock and probably haven't had for a good while if ever (I call those "sucker bait" just to get another hit for their site). The 810 is about the same but it has dual fans in the top rear instead of space for a second PSU there. They are about the same overall size as the 1200.

It is a full tower case; however, it is not that wide in the area where the motherboard goes. This could present a problem if video cards start coming out longer than they currently are. According to some reviews, 10.5" video cards "just fit" on an Antec 1200 case.

When I want a full tower, I try to buy only those ones that support "Extended ATX (E-ATX)... since thast guarantees extra breathing room in the motherboard area when using standard ATX.

sorry for asking a question in your thread but i don't think the issue is major enough to start a new one. instead of having 3 120mm fans in the front is it possible to take one out and put 5.25 drives in it. so that would be 6 5.25 drives and 6 3.15 drives?

Those fans are removable - each one of 'em is in front of an HDD cage, so you'll want to leave the ones for the cage(s) you use. You can also substitute more space-efficient HDD cages (hold 4 drives instead of three per 3-bay block) for the included ones. You can DL the 1200 manual from the Antec site.
