My old computer blew up so am building a new computer.
It'll save me a bit if I use the Antec P182 for my new I7 2600k build.
It'll save me a bit if I use the Antec P182 for my new I7 2600k build.
My modified P180 is still rocking.
I removed both drive bays and assorted guides, then suspended my hard drive using Stretch Magic in front of the PSU. That chamber has foam baffles in the front half.
In the center section I have a 120mm YL D12SL-12 baffled as well. Then I have a Scythe Kama Bay in the upper section with again, more baffling to quiet down the fans around the CPU cooler (Ninja rev. B).
Air guides using styrene cut to fit, and some thick foam on the bottom and rear of the main chamber.
Fan grilles got removed, holes cut in and grommeted for cable management, front panel ports replaced with the P182 set (for HD audio) and all the fans soft mounted.
Handles the E3110 and 4870 fine for nowPlus I can't hear it. Obvious SPCR inspired build
