Is the Antec KS282 case any good?

the case itself is ok... I don't like the fact that there's only one 3.5" slot, so basically if you bought an internal ZIP drive, which I did, unless u have mounting brackets for a 5 1/4" slot, it's useless...

the opwer supply used is exactly the same one used in an SX830... So, it's great.. overlal not a bad case. built like all the other antec's.. GOOD... but, I would suggest an sx830, it's heavier and bigger... but, the extra space in an sx830 definitely helps when trying to install all the parts

I got the KS282 for my mother's system. I love the case. Not near as good as my SX1030, but quite respectable. I don't know if it will be any good for overclocking (haven't tested its airflow/cooling capacity), but if you aren't going to go overboard with drives, it should be a good case. And the 303 PS is the same as I have in my SX1030, which is quite good (although I'm thinking of upgrading to an Enermax PS soon).

I agree with the above two comments. Its an excellent mid-price case that's not as big as a walk in refrigerator. I've built two systems using this case, been happy both times. The power supply is real nice-Athlon approved and reasonably quiet. Its the same power supply as is in the 282's larger siblings.

this is a good case i own this and the 830 and a few others, best powersupply. The space is semi limited but other than that the finish looks good. Oh also it only has one drive bay. Still a sleek looking case worth the 49 shipped

Antec's power supplies are no better then generic. I sold the supply that came with my case only to buy an Antec that would drop out of spec, and at times, power right down. Its been a real pain in the butt getting them to reply to email, and I've been waiting around for a replacement they said they'd send. Avoid.

I have one, and think it's a nice case...nothing spectacular, but a solid value...check out "My Rig's...it's #2...just my $0.02.

Just bought an Enlight Mid 7237...nice case...got a new Abit KT7A-RAID, with a OC Duron 650, running around 700 now...slowly bringing it up.

TuOni, $49 shipped for a KS-282? Where?

Edit: Okay... I found that this was a deal available earlier this month from Onvia. Drats!

I like the case. a bit small. but it is fairly easy to work with. The power supply seems to be enough.

I too have this case. No mobo tray slide out and screwdriver required screws would be my only complaint and the fact that I paid $60 for it at CompUSA. Too impatient to wait for online orders. CompUSA also sells this plastic hand screws that can replace your case screws and I find them especially useful.
