Bah I didnt just buy my 6800 gt for d3...
it was the straw that broke the camels back..
before 6800 i had to run at a max of 1024...
now every game I got runs at 1600x 1280 and FAST..

Star Wars galaxies..
notorious system hog... I used to be able to only run this at 1024 with everything turned off.. and then still had to avoid major cities...
Now i run it at 1600 with every slider in the game maxed... and I can PVP or loiter in main towns without lagging out at all...
Warcraft 3 same thing.. insane performance..
Lock On Modern Air combat.. OMFG what a differnce...

every gamer deserves to try a 6800 gt on a nice CPU... you will never ever doubt your purchase..

That's rediculous, just buy a 6800, or a 6800 GT. For a NO HASSLE experience.

it's just a bios flash how hard can it be! plus by enabling the extra pipelines the card will match and beat the GT in other games for the same price!

Edit: man I'm so tired

my 6800 GT EASILY OCs past 6800U speeds without any flashing or what not. why bother when you dont have to? also, it isnt a sure thing with the VIVO flashing

I was planning on getting the X800XT (and still might), but the 6800GT was within grasp and I bought it. Doom3 is freaking amazing, I was running Doom3 on my OC'd 9700pro which looked good but I couldn't run over 1024x768 / medium detail /2x AA if I wanted smooth framerate. I dropped in the 6800GT and am now running at 1280x1024 /Ultra High Detail / 4xAA 16xAF and jaw dropping beautiful. Hell just buy it somewhere with a good return policy and try it for 30days, maybe the other cards will be out then and just return it and try those.

Put it this way: my 6800U is faster at 1600x1200 than my 9700 Pro is at 800x600 in D3. And that's with trilinear AF compared to bilinear AF on the Radeon.
