Is the 6670 any good?

Hi!

Is the Radeon 6670 a good video card for mainstream gaming at reasonably high settings? Looking at the theoretical performance, it seems to be less powerful than even an 8800 GT!

I'm trying to build a budget gaming PC for a customer, so would really like to know if this card is worth it.

No, but it really depends on what resolution you are using.

Hmm, then I think I'll "splurge" and get this guy a GTX 550 or Radeon 6790.

well it would help if you actually gave some more info. what does the rest of the system look like in detail? what resolution will be used? what games does this person play?

with that processor you would have been better off going with the llano APU imo.

Nothing's ordered yet. Isn't the Llano GPU equivalent to a Radeon 6570?

CHanged to a better cpu for ya.

Now add a 6770 for about 100$ and you will have a mid range gamer @ 1600x900.
