upgrading my old P4 system to an A64, and wanted to reuse some of the old bits into a spare system.

what it will have is a TH7II-RAID mobo, P4 1.7, gf 5700LE etc etc, now the thing is my PSU is a 300w sparkle jobbie that doesnt have the 4 pin plug that my current enermax has.

will i be able to run the board without that 4 pin connector and not fry anything?

thanks.

Which board do you want to run without the 4-pin plug?? A64's use the 4 pin connector as well, but if you are gonna try and run the P4 without it, it might work fine, I've seen 2.2ghz northwoods run fine without it.

assuming there arent any downsides to that, it looks ideal. just have to find a UK supplier of such things.
