Is the 3200+ winchester a good overclocker?

gonna need more info than just the core to give you definative answers but, winchester is neither front of the heard nor rear yoy should be able to get ~2.4 out of it.

winchesters are better than newcastles, but worse than venices. you could probably get 2.3-2.4 out of it

newcastle < winchester < venice < san diego

just to clarify and expand slightly.

FYI, I got 2.5GHz out of mine which seemed the norm at the time. It was a late 2004 chip.

And my San Diego runs at 3ghz, it's not to say that they don't overclock well, 25% is a healthy overclock but, it's not the 36.5% I've seen from my San Diego.

I was up to about 2.4 when i was having some issues so that sounds about right. I have been planning on going to the San Diego (4000+). It would be nice if i could get a bit more out of my Whinni though...
