is the "1.5v" 1700+ tbredB at SVC just a normal tbredB?

the FS/T forum's SVC deals thread has a 1700+ tbred B "1.5v" chip. the exact title is "AMD XP 1700+ 1.5V TBred B-Core DLT3C JIUHB" is this just a normal tbred B or is the 1.5v special?
 
It's a B. I bought one, popped it into my 8RDA+@ 200*12, and what do you know. The darn thing booted right up and is currently running Prime. It was unlocked and is at the default voltage....sweeeeeeeeet.

My mom just got a NF7 and it didn't like her KYROII, so I'm lending her my 7500 AIW until her 9100 get's here. She wanted my 9500 PRO!

2.4ghz @ 1.5v???!! :Q damn that's nice...highest i've heard of w/default voltage. i picked up 2 recently. just got one today...other one coming in a few days. i hope to get anywhere near that speed at low voltage.

edit: what stepping did you get ray?
 
Dude, why wait? I didn't get a chance to check the mail til 11:30 PM and had to get up for work at 5 AM. I didn't get to bed til 1 AM. Sleep is a crutch!

I just got a retail 2500 Barton today; I'm hoping to get anywhere close to 2.4GHz.

Currently running an XP2100 @ 10.5x200 = 2.100GHz @1.700v. Stable as rock....but the only thing better than MHz is MORE MHz! 😀
 
Thanks! I think my A7N8X just got demoted and the 8rda+ got promoted to the H2O case! I would like to get as close to 3 Gs as possible. It may be time for a pelt. I'm currently using a Volcano 9 on this thing...

haha...yeah..i must be getting old. i gotta get up early tomorrow and messing with the waterblock is sorta a pain sometimes. plus i'm in the process of moving this weekend....just too much going on.

these are special ones... Not all tbreds are 1.5 only the DLT3C... The other tbredB is the "DUT3C" and their voltage is 1.6v which dont do aswell...
 
Wow rayray, awesome oc. I ordered one myself but since I ordered via snail mail I wonder if I'm going to get the 308 SPWM since they changed their 1700 b's to 319 WPMW a day before I got shipment confirmation.
 
I too ordered snail mail(well, Priority) on Monday and got it Thursday. "Be ready for the worst, Hope for the best", my old 1SG used to say that all the time...

dpopiz, take a chance(and our words for it) and get a 60$ chip, or take an even bigger chance and get a 44$ chip from the egg. Either way you got a new chip to overclock and at worst, yer owt 16 more bones...

Anyone know how fast first class mail from svc is? USPS is usually speedy for me, they don't ship on weekends do they?
