Is that mean you can make your own XBOX?

Intel chip, Nvidia graphic card, IDE HD,..................

Is that mean "in theory", you can simply copy the image of Xbox's HD and turn your PC into a Xbox?

Im theory, yes, in practice, no.

Basically even though they are all computer parts most have been modified. Another graphics buffer has been added to the Geforce 3, it uses modified DirectX drivers... it would be hard to do.

Also the chipset the P3 is attached to (i forgot what its called) is proprietary to the Xbox only.

I consider my PC an Xbox killer.

Building your own dedicated Xbox, probably not gun do it. HOWEVER, I'd be willing to be that an emulator will be out VERY soon. I mean the main processor and graphics chip are available for the PC. All that an emulator (really not even an emulator by definition) would have to do is implement an XBox API and maybe do some basic conversions (no processor emulation though since you've already got hardware compatibility).

Considering how crappy that playstation emulator is/was, there is no way you are going to get an Xbox emulator to work worth a crap. Although PCs are more powerful in general, you'll never be able to touch the xbox in pure graphic throughput yet unless you have a super high-end system, and even then I'm not sure.

That's the thing though. That playstation emulator had to emulate a different processor on x86. It then had to emulate the graphics chip, sound, yadda, yadda. PC's have the same processor. That means no emulation is required. Xbox uses DirectX for video and sound. I wonder what Windows PC's use as well? The point is that an X-Box emulator doesn't even have to be an emulator unless it's for a Macintosh or Sun box. Stanard x86 PC's run the same hardware and hence "emulation" (or more precisely, translation) should be a no brainer. Now a PS2 or Gamecube emulator is a completely different story as they use seperate processors and API's.

I agree, I think there will be an XBOX emulator out soon. XBOX games will still run a bit slower still because the NVidia graphics chip is supposed to be superior to the GeForce 3 that is out for the PC. I don't know the exact specs but it's supposed to be 300mhz and two vertex shaders? Correct me if I'm wrong.
