Look at all the people in Thailand
I think thats a no, unless you eat alot of it, then it can be fattening.

Name some of the ingredients of your favorite dish, maybe we can get an idea of what you like and what thai food consists of.

it could be.

the reason you don't see too many fat people in thailand is that it is warm and humid down there.

its kinda hard to be fat when its hot and humid every day.

It definitely can be fattening if you eat lots of the noodles or anything fried (obviously). It depends on what restaurant you go to, of course. Things like peanut sauce aren't exactly slimming, you know... :)

coconut milk and peanut sauce are high in fat. Would they fatten you up? It depends how much/often you eat them.

Americanized asian dish usually has larger portion and more meat.

Depends on where you get the Thai food.

I'd assume that very authentic Thai food is lower in fat than the americanized versions..
At my restaurant they use peanut butter for the Pad Thai and for the Thai sauces.

California Pizza Kitchen's Thai pizza has 92 grams of fat. Keep that in mind.

No way, Thai food isn't bad for you at all. Well, I don't know about the stuff in America (except that the Thai restaurants there charge 7$ for Pad Thai, when it costs like 50 cents here, but thats just life), but at least the aunthentic Thai food here in Thailand is very good for you. Way better health wise than Chinese food, at least IMHO. Just try and avoid eating too much curry though, as its mostly coconut milk = fat. There aren't many Thai people in Thailand with weight problems , however, the increased availability of McDonald's, KFC, etc. has made "heavy" people more common than they once were.
